While we enjoy showing off our beauties, the real purpose of our event is raising awareness for a great charity – Safehaven Project for Community Living, whereby all proceeds from the event are donated. Safehaven, a registered charity, provides exceptional respite and residential care for families whose children suffer from multiple disabilities and complex medical needs. Italian Car Day is proud to have raised over $500,000.00 over the last 8 events. As the children of Safehaven become older they require adult programs designed to help them adapt into the community.
For our 9th and 10th event our charity was Creating Alternatives, this day program for adults over the age of 21 with a developmental disability, in the Greater Toronto Area. Creating Alternatives provides a safe and supportive environment where participants can socialize, learn, and adapt in the community, as well as practice literacy and work skills to aid in transition to adulthood. All proceeds from all our events throughout the year will be donated to Creating Alternatives. www.creatingalternatives.ca
Our Italian Car Day event that took place on Sunday July 28, 2024 , We raised $45,000.00 for Creating Alternatives.
